Technology Platform

CAR-T cell therapy for solid tumors faces several challenges, including tumor antigen heterogeneity, poor persistence and tumor infiltration, and the immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment. Guided by Dr. Lieping Chen’s profound insights into tumor immunology, we are designing our pipeline by selecting appropriate tumor antigen targets, immune-regulatory targets, and cutting-edge technologies.

Ideal tumor antigen targets should be tumor specific, homogeneously expressed, and resistant to antigen loss. Broad expression across multiple tumor types is also highly desirable. To address the challenges of limited persistence, poor tumor infiltration, and immunosuppression that CAR-T cells encounter in solid tumors, we are focusing on innovative immune-regulatory targets. By modulating these targets, we aim to continuously improve the efficacy of CAR-T cell therapy in solid tumors.

CAR-T cell

We have established a comprehensive CAR T cell platform encompassing drug discovery, preclinical research, and clinical development. In the drug discovery phase, we leverage our deep understanding of tumor biology to select targets and indications, validating efficacy and side effects in in vitro and in vivo models. Subsequently, we rapidly advance candidates into preclinical and clinical studies

Antibody

Leveraging our expertise in antibody design and engineering and deep insights into tumor biology, we are developing next-generation antibody-based therapeutics, including antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs) and bispecific antibodies. This multi-modal approach allows us to explore diverse therapeutic strategies and maximize the potential of our antibody discovery platform.

Co-founder, CEO

Dr. Huang’s research has focused on tumor metastasis and T-cell immunotherapy. He completed his postdoctoral training and subsequently served as a researcher at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. He also served as a pathologist and Minjiang Scholar Professor at Fujian Medical University previously.

Lieping Chen, MD, PhD

Co-founder, Scientific advisor

Dr. Chen is a pioneer in cancer immunotherapy. His research focuses on fundamental T-cell biology and the translation of scientific discoveries into clinical therapies, with a primary emphasis on cancer immunotherapy. He discovered PD-L1 and established its role in tumor immune evasion, laying the foundation for anti-PD-1/PD-L1 therapies that have transformed cancer treatment worldwide. Among his other numerous discoveries, B7-H3 has emerged as a promising universal therapeutic target for solid tumors.

Dr. Chen is United Technologies Corporation Professor in Cancer Research and Professor of Immunobiology, of Dermatology and of Medicine at Yale University. He held faculty positions at the Mayo Clinic, Johns Hopkins University, and scientist positions in the Bristol-Myers Squibb Co. before joining Yale University. Dr. Chen is a member of the National Academy of Sciences, the National Academy of Medicine, and a Fellow of the American Association for Cancer Research.
